Hallo,

Ich habe ein XT600 2kf von 1990 und Suchen nach den Teilen die auf den Abbildungen gezeigt werden. Schutzbleche, Scheinwerfers, Blinkers, etc.

Wo kann ich diese Teile kaufen, kann ich die nur neu kaufen und was sind die Preise?

Ich suche auch nach motortuning Teilen, möchten 10 oder 15PS mehr haben.

Übrigens komme ich aus den Niederlanden, entschuldigen Sie mich für meine Sprache.

Did you made the fender on the rearend by yourself?

within the weeks to come I will continuing, e.g. making the frame silver/aluminum, mounting a 2KF cockpit (as I do not have the RPM-clock ) and having brake zylinders and gear covers polished.

Yes, the fender (which basically is different to yours) has been modified. It needed to be filled up with a special artificial adhesive to obtain a straight surface.

You clearly like the colors chrome/silver, yellow/black, but why don't you make golden rims, I think it will give the bike a bit more balance between all the chrome beneath, together with the yellow it must be beautifull, it's also a wink to the past.

Personally I don't like to much bling, bling here I am, but I do like the subtle changes you made so far and I think you did a good job. Subtle design is also long term thinking, like they do with BMW or Volvo for instance.

I also like modern technique united with classic design, the retrolook.
Obviously you must know the XT700 bike from www.miles-motors.de, but in mine opinion the bike is not in balance somehow, maybe the rearend is to low, it looks like a scarey hyena and not a tough off the road machine.
At first I had plans to do a better job and make the same XT500-look out of a XT600, but than with a silver XT600 tank and the same XT600 seat and the XT600 monochoque. I think it will be beautifull, but than I saw your bike and now I doubt which remake I will do.

I wish we had more XT lovers here in the Netherlands.

these bikes (shown by your links) are really fantastic. Especially the green one and the XT500 as Sumo I like. Really great.

By the way, giving the XT600 the vintage style of the XT500 also is a good approach. A real good idea.

Coming back to mine, when I started I decided to use only 3 basic colors; in this case ylw/bl/sil.

Concerning the pics you can easily let me know about the max. file size. Need your mail address and of course, I will shrink them using winzip.

Why don´t you create a personal account here? It is free of charge and you would have an (even) better response from other XT drivers. Using your German or English will be suitable and you also can have contact with UK XT dirvers (we have a special section for them here). After having created your account you go to the main section "Allgemeine Themen" and introduce yourself and you´ll get a welcome of different XT members.
